1. Play V/T and Song
2. Target Audience (show moodboard)
“This our Target Audience Moodboard. With this Moodboard, our aim was to create something that represented our genre with our artist in mind. We thought about who our target audience would be, what they would wear, who they would be friends with and where they would socialise as well as the demographic and jicnars scale.
We asked a member of our target audience to describe how they saw themselves and who they feel would be the target audience for this song.”
(After Kelly Rowland) “At the end of our research we have found that our target audience are; Females, aged 18-24, Hedonists, Mainstreamers and Materalists with a jicnars scale of B1-C.”
3. Ideas
(show Ideas Moodboard)
“We wanted to incorporate dance sequences into our music video because our genre was pop we felt this was important. However we did not want massive dance sections or a lot of dancers to be included. We feel that two dancer would be more appropriate to our song choice. we have put together a small video of what kind of dance we wanted to include.” We also envisioned a dance sequence where the music picked up in the bridge section of the song.
“Initially, when we first heard the song as a group we thought the tempo was upbeat, we imagined a cool trendy girl walking down a busy high street in time with the music. We would use a mixture of jump cuts and tracking shots to show her progress through the streets. We would interject the dancing sequences inbetween the town scenes and in the chorus. Finally we also liked the idea of using the bridge over the River Severn, especially at night time as the lights would give a more glamorous and pop video effect.”
4. Influences
“These were our influences to our pop video idea.”
5. Play Theory Video
6. Health and Safety
“Finally we completed a health and safety briefing for our idea. As parts of our video will be shot by the River we have to maintain a safe distance from the edge so actors don’t fall in. We will use as less wires as possible so that actors don’t trip over them, whilst filming in a public place be aware of other passers by so that no injuries are sustained and due to the proximity to the roads we also must be aware of traffic.”
