Filming Update

With Chris and Sophie away today, Roisin and I will film more filler shots in the photography studio, ready for tomorrow when the others return.

Inspiration and Change of Ideas

Whilst watching MTV this morning I saw Alexis Jordan's new video Good Girl. Immediately it struck me as the sort of video that relates to ours e.g. it has equal shots outside, in the studio and dancing. For some time we had been struggling to come up with extra shots for 'fillers' in our video yet this video, with the split screens, fade to blacks and close up studio shots, provided us with lots of new ideas. I especially liked the dance sequence with the frequent changing of colours throughout.

Split screen - 0.00 - 0.005
Fade to blacks - 0.45-0.55
Dance sequence - 0.23-0.28

Filming Update

Due to a mix up with the length of battery life the rest of my group could only film for about thirty minutes so I booked out another camera for the 31st January where hopefully we would film the rest of our music video. Once again I thought that we worked well as a team, this time we all shared the role of directing whilst Chris took control of filming and Sophie did our model's make up.

We still haven't filmed the short dance routine that we were going to try and encorporate into our video but this week Sophie booked out the photography studio whilst I booked out a camera ready for filming this Thursday with all of our cast members. we decided that due to the limited space in the studio Chris and I would take over the editing whilst Sophie and Roisin filmed.
