Inspiration and Change of Ideas
After much deliberation we thought that our music video needed something to effectively change between locations rather than always using jump cuts. When Sophie suggested fade ins I immediately thought of a video that I had previously seen on MTV; Chipmunk Feat. Chris Brown - Champion. However I didn't know how this effect was created but Chris did, allowing us to have a similar effect for our music video.

Filming Update
Due to some errors with our footage we have decided to re film. I orginally had booked out a camera for the 25th January before I realised that I had work that evening. After talking it over with my group and discussing some of my ideas with them I trusted them with filming some key scenes for our music video.
As with before Sophie took the lead with directing, Chris with filming and Roisin with the acting role. To make up for me not being there on that evening I said that I would come into college early to upload and continue to edit the footage what they had done.

Second Filming! 18th January 2011
After a mix up with the cameras I managed to book out a HD camera for the 18th January. We planned to meet at 6.30pm in town which would be where we would begin filming. Sophie unfortunatley couldn't make it due to work commitments that she couldn't change. As she couldn't make it I took control of the directing responsibilites and made sure that we followed our plans. Chris came up with a new idea, based off our originals that involved the camera following the star, as a sort of front tracking shot. Immediatley Roisin and I thought that this was a good idea so we decided to slightly alter our plans to include this.
Roisin was once again the star and had the role of learning and singing the lines whilst Chris took on the filming duties once more.

First Filming! 11th January 2011
Today I managed to book out a camera and tripod so that our group could begin filming as planned. We choose to film in an unused and empty car park as this would provide us the slience and peace that we needed to film. Due to the fact that we wanted our film to be shot at night we decided to film at 5.30pm as by this time it was almost pitch black!
Our filming went well and we managed to capture both the start and end of our music video. As a team I thought we worked really well, we played to each of our strengths and therefore getting the outcomes that we wanted. I, along with Sophie, co-directed (making sure that we stuck to our genre's key forms and convetions) and, whilst Sophie took our example photographs of our work, I made sure that we stuck to our plans, even using our storyboards to reflect the light in the direction when the shot was too dark. Sophie also did our models make up.

Chris was designated the role of filming which played to his strength of technology whilst Roisin was our model and had the important role of acting!

Animatic Storyboard
This is what the first minute of our music video should look like. However we may slightly alter some scences due to timings and locations.
